So it begins...

As part of a school project, I am required to start a blog.. sooooo. here it is. Having had no desire to ever do this on my own, don't expect too much excitement here.. If you have horses or hounds ( or any canine for that matter) feel free to post.. the more the merrier?
Anyone that knows me, knows that I am passionate about animals. I am a Veterinary Technician ( for 14 years, now) and prior to that , I worked in food service ( baking primarily). I also actively support wildlife conservation in Minnesota and the rest of the country and am proud to say that I have been allowed many moments with critters of all kinds:-)
Honey and Speedy are the hounds... China is the horse.. these are my girls and I can honestly say everyone who meets them loves them... What's not to love??

  1. Well I hear you there about the posts. This is my first time as well and I am a little nervous about the outcome. I do have to compliment you on your first post because it was very interesting. I love your pictures and your animals; I have always been an animal lover but horses have to be my favorite. I look forward to blogging with you in the future. Melissa Brandt

  2. Hello Melissa,
While I don't think my post was interesting, I thank you for saying so:-) I have had China for 21 years. She's the best form of therapy! we have learned much together (She was a baby when I bought her and I knew absolutely nothing about horses.) Now she 's helping my younger relatives (niece and great nephew) learn how to ride and respect animals.. The hounds are retired racers ( now 45 MPH couch potatoes) who still have fun with mini races in the back yard.. I hope to post a video if I can get one that turns out!
I visited your blog and commend you on you triathlon! I am not a very motivated exerciser but so hit the gym 3 x a week and try to make better food choices.. hard to break ingrained bad habits, though.. too many years of bad food and baking!!
